The Free plan gives you 5 stories per month. The Starter plan gives you 30 stories per month — enough for a story every single night. Starter also includes 1 voice cloning profile, so you can have stories narrated in a family member's voice. If you're using Fable Jar regularly at bedtime, Starter is designed for you.

Family doubles your stories to 60 per month, gives you 5 child profiles instead of 1, and includes 3 voice cloning profiles. If you have multiple children or want several family members' voices available for narration — Dad, Grandma, Grandpa — the Family plan is the one to choose.

Voice narration is available on every plan and runs on voice credits you purchase separately. When a story is generated, you can spend a credit to have it read aloud by an AI voice. This is great for bedtime when you want to press play and listen together, or when your child wants to hear the story on their own.

Voice cloning lets a family member record about 30–60 seconds of their voice. We use AI to create a storytelling voice from that recording. Any story can then be narrated in that person's voice. It's perfect for grandparents who live far away, parents who travel for work, or anyone your child loves and misses at bedtime. Voice cloning is available on Starter (1 profile) and Family (3 profiles). It is not available on the Free plan.

When someone else creates a story that includes your child as a character, you can read that story for free — unlimited, on any plan. You'll never be blocked from reading a story that was shared with your family.

The Memory Jar is where all your child's stories are saved. Every story you create is automatically stored so your child can revisit their favourites, re-read them, and build a growing collection of adventures they've been the hero of. The Memory Jar is available on all plans.

Yes, on all plans. You just need the friend's first name and gender. The AI weaves them naturally into the adventure alongside your child. It makes the story feel more real and more fun.

Yes, on all plans. You can describe your child's appearance — hair, eyes, skin, clothes, glasses — or upload a reference photo. We generate a personalized avatar that appears consistently across story illustrations so your child sees themselves in every story.

Go to Plans & Usage in your dashboard. You'll see all available plans and can switch with one click. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

On the Plans & Usage page, click "Open Billing Portal". This takes you to Stripe where you can cancel your subscription. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again after cancellation.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Fable Jar never stores your credit card details. You can update your payment method, view invoices, or manage your subscription anytime through the Stripe billing portal, accessible from the Plans & Usage page.

You keep all your existing stories in the Memory Jar. Your child profiles and avatars remain intact. You simply go back to 5 stories per month and lose access to voice cloning. Any voice credits you've already purchased are saved and never expire — they're ready the moment you resubscribe. Nothing is deleted.
